If you could do the same thing as Kirby, you would absorb our powers and then become a critic yourself

Pretty sure you wouldn't do that if you could

@kmarwx: He's a hypocrite than, heh.

All we're trying to do is tell you what you're doing wrong and you're just... not listening. We have nothing against you and we're not trying to hurt your freaking feelings. All we want to do is help you get good at spriting!

Didn't you say you're willing to listen and improve?! Then why won't you listen to us and realize that you're doing things wrong?! You can't improve if you're just going to swat away the opinions of the people who want to help you!

And if you don't stop doing this then everyone's just going to hate you and you're going to get nowhere!

So why don't you just stop hating on us, trying to use "critic" as an offensive label and treating us like some stupid, butthurt haters?!

"You so gay man"

I'm going to ignore this and focus on HOW AMAZING THIS IS

Alright, Gsman.

I'm going to try and teach you some things. I'm not trying to be mean and/or offensive to you in anyway. Being criticized is the only way to learn where you have your errors. The way the human mind works, it is unable to scan
your own work and fairly grade them. You need other people to do that for you because they will be completely unbiased (subconciously or not). No one here is trying to be mean to you. Wether you realize it or not, they are trying to help you. Spriters are becoming scarce here, and all the new ones need to be helped and recognized. The only way to help a newbie, is to teach, criticize, and let you learn the way that it goes.

Now that this is out of the way, on to the lesson.

Your drawings, honestly need to wait a little bit. I assume from what I see, that you use a mouse? Using a mouse for drawing isn't a good decision, because there is no way to smooth a drawing out. They have tablets and stuff for a reason. If you still want to draw, then draw with paper+pencil until you get yourself a tablet+pen.

Your sprites:
Honestly, these need a lot of work. When you are shading, dedicate a way for light to hit the sprite. This is called a light source. The most popular ones are above the sprite, and to the top right of the sprite. When shading, start with darker shades and as they approach the area closer to the light source, the shades get brighter. With your actual linework on the sprites, make sure you don't leave jagged edges. Make sure the outline isn't bigger than one pixel, and make it organized. I also would recommend downloading a program called Paint.net (http://www.getpaint.net/download.html#download) And using this to make your comics and sprites. The reason for this is because of the layering function that allows you to create multiple layers for one sprite/comic. It's a really good program and it's easy to learn how to use. If you ever need any help with it, message me on sj and I will try my best to help you with it. That is all from me. Peace sells.
